The PTA is the largest child advocacy association in the US. A small portion of your dues helps support legislative action teams at the state and national level.

To join the Robinson PTA, you can go on-line to complete your registration or you can download the Membership form on our website (available July 15th ) and return it to the cashier table during schedule pick-up or you can turn it in to the front office at school anytime during the year.

School Directory

To include your student’s information in the School Directory – go to the Robinson PTA web site after July 15 and complete the Student Directory & Consent Form. To be included in the directory, all information must be received by August 10. Only members of the PTA will receive a copy of the directory.

Parent Volunteers – We Need You!

Many times parents think that now that their children are no longer in elementary school they no longer need to worry about volunteering. That is far from the truth. Professionals will tell you that it is important to stay involved with your child’s activities, school, and friends no matter what their grade level is.

To sign up to volunteer, please use the PTA online registration information at www.RobinsonPTA.org.

PISD requires that all Volunteers complete a back-ground check every year after July 1. After July 1 go to www.PISD.edu and fill out your Volunteer Application. Make sure to select Robinson Middle School as one of the campuses where you would like to volunteer.

Fundraising & Donations

Financially, our PTA sponsors many programs and activities for our students, parents, and staff. We need your financial support to continue to be able to provide the support for our school that we think is important in maintaining the expectations we have for our school.

Please consider making a tax deductible donation to the Robinson PTA. The Robinson PTA Executive Board is diligent in assuring that our PTA funds are used wisely. There is a place on the PTA Membership form to include your donation.

Spirit Wear

Show your Robinson pride by purchasing Robinson spirit wear! Various items will be available for purchase at schedule pickup. Don’t forget to check it out.

Recommended Reading

Communications

Throughout the school year we will be using various forms of communication to keep you informed of all the events that are happening at Robinson. The PTA’s website, www.robinsonpta.org includes lunch menu, calendar, upcoming events, important dates, etc. The “member’s only” section, includes: Honor Roll, Razorback Recognition, and other student information. Additional forms of communication include: Robinson eNews, the automated phone tree system, and the marquee in the front of the school.

To sign up for the PISD enews, visit the Plano ISD website (www.pisd.edu) and complete the application to begin receiving enews from Robinson. Be sure to update your profile to include eNews from Robinson MS. PTA newsletter will be accessible via enews or RobinsonPTA.org website.

Tom Thumb

Tom Thumb's Good Neighbor Program is an easy way to support our PTA.  Every time you shop at Tom Thumb a portion of your purchases will be donated to the Robinson Middle School PTA if you have designated our PTA on your Rewards Card.  Families can have up to three charities designated. The total applicable purchases will be equally divided between the charities selected.

To sign-up for the Good Neighbor Program, or to change your current designated organization, stop by any Courtesy Booth at a Tom Thumb store.  You will need to complete a Reward Application and indicate that Robinson Middle School PTA is your designated charity.  Our PTA has the potential to earn over $7000 a year if all of our families would take a few moments to designate our PTA on their Reward Card!
