Lost and FoundAll articles found should be taken to the school office or the lost and found box located under the staircase at the back of the office. Students should check these areas before or after school. The P.E. department maintains their own lost and found. Items left in the lost and found will be disposed of at the end of each six weeks period. Forget Something?Make sure you have everything you need before you come to school. Each day the front office staff receives many requests to deliver personal items and/or messages. In order to eliminate interruptions to instructional time, items and messages will not be delivered to students. Items brought for students may be placed on the table inside the front office. It is up to the student to check the table during passing period. LockersEach student is assigned his/her own locker. A combination will be assigned to each locker. Periodic inspections are made to see that lockers are kept neat and clean. Use only the locker assigned to you and keep it locked at all times. Students are cautioned against telling other students their combinations, otherwise they cannot expect their property to be safe. Hall Passes/Leaving ClassStudents are not to be out of class during class periods unless they are with a teacher or have a hall pass with the date, time, and teacher signature on it. TextbooksTextbooks are furnished by the state and issued by the teacher during the school year. They are to be kept clean, handled carefully, and kept covered at all times. Students who lose a textbook or severely damage a textbook must pay for the book in the office before issuance of another book. The teachers will do periodic book checks. At the end of the course or when the student withdraws, teachers will check for damage and assess fines.BackpacksBackpacks are not permitted in classrooms; they must be left in the student’s locker. |

HomeworkWork done at home is a necessary part of each student’s educational program. Each student is expected to spend time in addition to scheduled class instruction to achieve satisfactory work. Some assignments are long-range in nature and require planned study time for their completion. Planned study eliminates the necessity of spending too much time completing the assignment the day before it is due.
